they are very common in this area, so are deer, wild turkeys, etc
sometimes moose too 

Yes but bears are omnivorous that can eat you, especially after hibernation.

I find having my dog outside really helps keep the bears away. The scent deters them.

My flock has been saved by a dog more than once.

i am well versed in this, i have lived here my whole life and am always careful in the woods

They are producing a good amount, I could probably send you 10-12.

So, how about next month, you save space for 10 eggs, and I'll ship you some turkey eggs. I can get maybe 3-4 a day so over a week, I can get enough to send you about a dozen. I put some in my incubator from the fridge, and they still developed, so they appear to be pretty beefy.
