I used a 55gal plastic barrel once. Added soil as they grew. Think you have to use the right variety of potato, not sure what I used that time. Ended up with 5lbs of potatoes on the bottom of the barrel where they started....

Ok, I was reading the article, and learning a lot, untill I relized that the one and only external themometer I had I am using for our chicks, And are you saying that I should take the eggs out again, candle them to pecil mark the shell, or am I getting it wrong again?
