Good Luck I suggest you calibrate and read the above links.
And scroll to the
HUMIDITY
The Air Bubble in the Egg
section in the Hatching 101 Article click HERE
thats not alot is it?I used a 55gal plastic barrel once. Added soil as they grew. Think you have to use the right variety of potato, not sure what I used that time. Ended up with 5lbs of potatoes on the bottom of the barrel where they started....
Quote: We will enjoy your company! not too late! you didnt weigh them so you really need to keep watch of the air cells. you can draw pencil marks on the air cells at day 7 or 10 since your past seven and then again day 14 and we can help you adjust humidity to get the closest weight loss necessary for healthy chicks. Temps are very important as well, that is why we said to be sure you calibrate that thing!
Ok, I was reading the article, and learning a lot, untill I relized that the one and only external themometer I had I am using for our chicks, And are you saying that I should take the eggs out again, candle them to pecil mark the shell, or am I getting it wrong again? We will enjoy your company! not too late! you didnt weigh them so you really need to keep watch of the air cells. you can draw pencil marks on the air cells at day 7 or 10 since your past seven and then again day 14 and we can help you adjust humidity to get the closest weight loss necessary for healthy chicks.
