Good morning, my Westley! :love

Don't tell CC, but I candle whenever I jolly well feel like it, and I haven't seen a difference in them vs the batches I was hands-off on. If it gives you peace of mind, you can wait, but if there's a way you can candle w/o taking them out of the turner I doubt anyone could find a problem with that.

Oh is the problem pickin them up?.... I've been moving them all around. Trying to figure out how to get my humidity up without getting the electrical wet.

Well, I've been going non-stop since 15 hours, 25 minutes ago, since I last posted. Got a lot done, more still to do. Just came in from being on "possum watch" (sitting on the lounge chair and watching the CL coop until the auto door shut - fortunately, no baby possums two days in a row). Got really cold - was drinking hard cider and it was breezy and 73F - I was shivering (not kidding, chattering teeth). (Alas, it's not a "I'm from Texas" thing, and I have plenty of "insulation", it's a "I really overdid it today" thing - I don't thermoregulate well when I'm over-exhausted.) Skipped weighing the Aloha NNs today. Too tired. I did manage to do brooder cleaning, a little coop cleaning and caught up with my mother on the phone, so at least there's that. I'll read back, but I suspect that the best thing would be to go to bed. Stat. - Ant Farm
Shalom Kristen This is my idea to a very simple but usful joints that would keep the brooder side on the same plain.

But, if it was made like that on purpose, forget what I have been saying!

Hi ,
just a question .does it make any difference in the hatch if the chicks are lockedown for 3 days or 4 days as long as the humidity and the temperature are correct all during that time ?
thank you

Don't see any problems there, all the concept of lock down is to cover all the optional hatching time range, so you just add one day to the beginning some of us add a day in the end, day 22 even 23!

am in Day 9 and tossed out 10 eggs tonight. Most we clears but some were blood rings and one had a floating air cell (not shipped, from my own birds). So I am down to 27 in the incubator.

Yes. Still, a broody doesn't treat her eggs any different on day 11-14 vs before or after that.
