EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

There are 16 pages of unanswered posts dating back to March. If you have any understanding of poultry (you have not killed off your flock in under a month!), please look through the posts, and see if you can answer a question or ten. Some posts are just advertising shows and egg/flock sales. But there are a ton of questions too!
But none of them are from this thread, thankfully; at least in the first few pages.

Were they shipped eggs? I will see if anyone else can answer I don't think so, but I am not an experienced hatcher.

Yes they were shipped eggs. They sat 18 hrs after they arrived, and yesterday was day 7 incubation. Ten eggs in all, and I see veining in only two. Most of them have air cells that move somewhat when the eggs is tipped. I'm hoping it's early yet, and they may still develop? I never saw this with my own hatching eggs.

GOOD MORNING, AND HAPPY FRIDAY, MAY FIFTH!!

Thank you, dear lady; much appreciated on a wet, gloomy day

It is never a bad idea to wait and see. Unless the egg stinks.
Chaos will get smart with this post. Ignore him.

What if I've killed part of my flock?
