The chick that hatched yesterday died this morning I think it was just abnormally small.

sorry    some just dont thrive

3 chicks out so far. 2 under Jace, one under Bella. Despite her young age Bella seems to be good with babies so far. Nice, too -- she ain't trying to eat me.

after they pip (poke a hole through the shell) they then 'zip' out, they use their egg tooth and actually cut around the egg in a circle then pop out
