Good Morning MC...I actually set 2 dozen AC eggs yesterday. Hopefully it goes smooth. It's been a while since my last hatch.

And I do.... But winter is just getting over here...... And I'm not raising birds in the house. I'll keep them in a cage till they get big enough to go out into s grow out pen. But that's it. ..

My last hatch was 6 AC eggs that were shipped. All six hatched and I got 1 rooster and five hens out of the deal.
That was in October.

I found that chicks are okay to go out a lot sooner than I originally thought.
I also have two hatches going on, but they are under broodies. No worries here!

not here MC. By November we are getting into some below zero weather some years. But by November we are pretty much into winter.

I do have a heated grow out pen. So they can get out there but not really till they are a little bigger.
I wouldn't want to chance it.

You don't like the idea of sending them to freezer camp early?
