EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Hi!
I just went into lockdown but I weighed my eggs and they have only lost about 9.03% of their weight, not 11.14% as they should have by day 18. I live in a humid area but inside the incubator I went ahead and left it dry so it ran around around 30-35%. Today I went ahead and lowered temp to 99.5 and upped humidity to 65%. Will they be okay? Is there anything I should do? This is my first time incubating eggs. I am anxious/excited/nervous. Obviously just hoping for the best.
Thanks in advance

Did you candle to check air cells?

Sounds like they didn't lose enough weight, so you might have problems with chicks drowning.... If you put them on their side for hatch, that might help.

Yes I candled them, the air cell seems to be slightly smaller than it should be..
The eggs are on their side, should I keep humidity lower today so more air can enter?

See above quote from DuckLady, manual process.
I did realize that. I am just often amazed at how much is still done by hand. It's what I meant in my second paragraph. Epic fail. :p I stink at speaking anymore.
LOL, I must reply to this....
We started applying medals at 11:48 am and were done at 12:23 pm. We applied almost almost 400 medals manually in less than 30 minutes. ;)
:clap You should demand free wrist braces to prevent strain!

Not that I'm an expert, but I first thought maybe he got bitten/stung by an insect or something... :hugs

Ridiculously cute!!!! (Mike, they're poults!)

Seems like they are doing them once-twosie based on me getting an alert that DuckLady gave me mine.

You are awesome - thanks!!!!

(@MotorcycleChick - Did you see? Quoted images are showing up now. :yesss:)
I did. I'm so happy that you are so happy. :celebrate
(The wipers on the bus go ...)
Might be wise to wait until pip to raise it. Opinions, anyone else?
I completely agree!
