EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

@Sally Sunshine Hi, I am confused. What did I not explain well? So sorry life has been overwhelming. How are you and your daughter? Does your doe look closer?

@mlm Mike Thanks for helping with whatever :lau I am glad you got your Icelandic back plus one :clap
Thanks for thinking about me you too @Akrnaf2
Kristen keep up the chore and project fight I am with you my friend.
@meltel good rooster removal, prayers and :hugs
@BantyChooks Glad you were able to move chicks. Any better answer on Carey?
Hey @ChickenCanoe we miss you!
:frow to those I didn't greet like Ken, Chaos, Phil, Nathan etc.

Hi Dax, I helped with something? :wee

Well, that only took the vast majority of my day off and on. Readback taken care of.

Siginificant changes on my horizon.
Looks like I will be moving back to Alaska front of the year. Better than it could have been but it will be an adjustment.
Suspect we will be living on base which means no chickens(or any farm animals)??

Oh no, good luck with your up coming move.

Very nice!

Good morning, Abi!

Bought all the wood yesterday & got it cut to length, or so I thought. Discovered I'd forgotten the 1x4 stock...wasn't even on the list. :old

Haven't bought any wire yet. Still have a good bit of chicken wire from adding to the height of the chicken yard, so I'll see how far that takes me.

What are you making?

OOOOOH! @BantyChooks! da coot wittle welshie babies are willy snuggwy and so tooot!

What language is this? :lau

Aw, c'mon, this thread was started by a 'merican so surely we can involve fifths here?

Mmmm.... Yummy.

You betcha!

Good Morning all.

@BantyChooks I can't remember the tag I'm supposed to use, but I have a broody setting on 13 eggs.

When I NEEDED a broody to take the classroom chicks, I didn't have one. Now that the classroom chicks are too old, I have a broody. :barnie:barnie

Hi Heather, you going to let the broody hatch?
ETA Duh, she is setting on 13 eggs.

Tags don't work for hatcher updates now, I am going to have to figure out something else.

Haha! Jim Steinman can help with the arrangement. Rock operas are just so much fun!
I've never been worried about an explosion, but I have an All American anyway. Better for handing down to Duckling.
:yesss:

I have an All American - the 915 model (still small enough that it works on my flat topped stove). It just makes so much scary noise when you're first venting it.

I got all of it canned that I'm going to can - the rest will be stock that I'll make and can this week. (The white stuff on the jars in front is just from our hard water - haven't wiped them with vinegar yet.)

Thanks for the coffee, MC! :thumbsup

Well, just let me know if you have questions. Wire may be fine up top, but you may need to use HW cloth down low or raccoons, etc, will reach in and get your birds. :(

Gotta run, just checking in. Have a great day, all! :frow
