i will take friday off, or i could choose any of the days but friday is my preferred even though i have to work saturdayThank you.
Thank you.
Do you get another day off since your normal day off is a holiday?
We are looking into IVF - if we can find a place to do it for under 12k with meds included, then we will probably do IVF next year and skip all this drama.
We are "skipping" next cycle (we'll still try, but with out all the monitoring and injectable meds.) while he does a sperm check and discuss options on why the cycles may not be optimal for us.
We've had such good luck with just the oral meds, we've addded injectables and I feel like it's not working and I can't put my finger on why. I'm pretty sure we triggered a couple days too early last cycle and it's why the eggs weren't mature enough. Doctor said he'd compromise with me this cycle and trigger at 20-21mm instead of 18.

i wish it were easier for you
The WWD works as a hospice nurse, they have rotating holidays off, if they work it they get 1 1/2 time.... if they are off they get nothing...
They also work a ton of hours for no pay...Drives me nuts..Soon she will retire!! I shall be glad for that..
One month till the bacon seeds arrive.

You're insane.
Happy morning to all. Going out to feed the birds and check for more chicks. Hatch mania around here. Turning the cabinet off for a few months to see what i have grown out (might have to sneak some of the champs eggs and my new birds eggs in a smaller bator...just to check fertility you know)Bill is out doing "manly" things... aka buying a new lawnmower. I picked it out though
Trying to stay positive and hoping for a good day

I'm having problems being all hormonal and ragey from the fertility meds. It's why I've been extra quiet lately.I don't want to step on anyone's toes when medically insane.
Well, given our infertility history, we knew what we were signing ourselves up for![]()
96!?Well, with as contentious as the oldest growout groups have gotten (having discovered testosterone), I really have to cull all the non-keeper boys this weekend - there;s just too much fighting, and while no one has been seriously injured, it puts my teeth on edge and has the entire chicken yard on edge as well. I was astonished to realize that the oldest group is almost 20 weeks old, and the second oldest is 18 weeks. So, the ice chest is full of fresh ice, and I've already moved most of them to the brooder cages with water only. Then I had to swap out everyone's water with fresh cool water as it's 96F. It was hot enough that I just turned the hose on my head and face for a while - felt fantastic! Totally brought back memories of playing with the garden hose or running through the sprinkler as a child. Everyone's got fresh water, and they're all hunkered down in the bedding trying to stay cool - no one appears to be suffering, so that's good (if they were, they would go on the cull list) - misters will be set up in June.
The fully feathered culls (three boys, two girls) will be done this afternoon because I will skin them. (I'm just inside cooling off before heading back out.) Once they're done I'll fetch the remaining NN culls and put them in the brooder cages with water before bed. I'll fire up the scalder in the morning, and come hell or high water, I WILL get 10 chickens processed tomorrow.
Wish me luck!!!

96!?
Guess I had better not complain... I thought it was awful hot here.... But it's nowhere near 96.![]()
Good Luck Kristen!!!
Dont forget your sun block!!!!
Only 80? You all have an endurance that I will never possess. Good luck! It's going up to 98F. I have to get these all done today and tomorrow, because there are thunderstorms coming tomorrow afternoon - that's why t's so miserable today, both hot and humid. Once that front passes through, the high on Monday is supposed to be only 80F.
Thanks! Fortunately, my processing area is in full shade.
OK, no more procrastinating, heading out.
