EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

well I hope some of those people start to come back..... the format is not that bad.
The only thing I don't like is the way you its hard to skip around from place to place.
But pictures really do download and post better for me with those new format.

Yep...i got a broody A.C. hen too....

Seems like their are people missing from other threads as well. This time of year gets busy for a lot of us with gardens.

Busy for people with kids, too. I know I am totally exhausted at the end of the school year here. Today is my kids' last day of school though, so after today I get to sleep in (as long as I can sleep through my cockerel who just started crowing)!

I have to pair of broodies that sat side by side, and are now co-raising five chicks. Thankfully they didn't peck me badly last night when I picked them and the chicks up to put them in the coop. She was going to stay in the corner of the run with the chicks. I have a secure run, but that is not a good place even with hardware cloth and skirting. They were very unhappy with me trying to get and move the chicks. One hen is bad, but tandem broodies are scary ;)

@campingshaws Do you know anyone who might be interested in a pair of your Hona? Mine are three months old now. I would like to keep one or two, but the cockerel will not be able to go out with mine so I would like to move a pair.
