Enough trees were taken down this spring to have that fun all summer long.



It'll stay green for a long time. We're also supposed to have a cool, wet summer. Of course right after they said that upper 80's and low 90's temps hit.

We don't get much rain from here out. 90's will be standard for awhile now. Although this weekend is nice. It won't last. Difference here is it's a dry heat.
Have loads of fun with the trees. Do they every get any interesting grain to them

That is one seriously cute duckling (esp that middle photo)!!!!

I did chores in the AM, errands for several hours midday, then coop cleaning this evening. I didn't get the automatic doors put in, unfortunately, so even though I feel like imma about to drop, I need to wait until bedtime (in about half an hour) and go lock the younguns up. Then I can take a bath and start washing cherries to make cherry bounce - I may make both vodka and bourbon versions. I made it once before, but while it was marinating, my dog knocked it over, all over the floor. That was seriously gross. Then I'm going to make cauliflower soup.
