If you want to mesure the diameter of red blood cells what will it be in the American way?
In the metric system it is 6-8 micrometers AKA 6-7 1/1,000,000 ,000 of a meter.

Of course! However, the fly in the ointment is if you're driving down the road trying to figure all that out, all the numbers keep changing, so you're never right.
That's why I said the general equivalent of 2 km being 1 mile... If you're in Canada unexpectedly and you're panicking, just divide the number in half and you'll be pretty close. If you get stopped for speeding, remember, I never told you this.

It is a 100 centimeters =1000 millimetres =1,000,000 micrometers =1,000,000,000 nanometers=1,000,000,000,000 Picometers. =1,000,000,000,000,000,femtometers......

We actually do learn the metric system in school, at least back when I went. We started converting to it in the mid 1970's. so the conversation should be complete any day now. :lau

It would just be some fraction of an inch rather than fraction of a meter. However, anyone actually measuring red blood cells would be using the metric system.
