SALLY!!!!!! Hi, I miss you. How is your recovery going?
Hi!LMAO I have imaginary friends but not theynice to meet you as well
Dax you don't carry a pistol when you deal with this big animals? If it had been my bull, I would have shot it between the eyes. Unfortunately, it isn't.
Ouch! What breed bull? Not Hereford, I'm betting.Well, last Sunday my friend started trying to move a bull we had gotten into a smaller pen to try to get in the alley while I was letting the other cows out. He charged her and found her into a cattle panel which she hit face first. I had to go in to distract him and get her out. Rank jerk charged me, and I waited till he was about two feet away and dove rolling right. I then got to play ring around the Rosey (creep feeder) while she drug herself out. Then I got to practice my sprinting. I got away with just a bruised shoulder as the ground is harder matsI could not be a clown. There is something creepy about the look on a big bulls face as they charge you when they are not going to be waved off and want to get you.
She was in the hospital all week so since she has two cats needing meds twice a day I was up going to her place by 5 and then working my 12-13 hours, then back to her place for horses, goats including milking, dogs and cats, and coordinating other stuff. It was a long week.
I would rather have been chatting.
How is it going?I love this page! I've just received my first hatching eggs. Bantam frizzle polish. And this is my go to. Thank you.

Sounds awesome. How was it? Pictures?
I am not crazy enough to do it except by absolute necessity.Oh my, that's more drama than I can handle at my age now. Glad you were able to prevent worse injuries. You might just have potential as a clown, takes a lot of skill.

Have a great trip!Wow, that's crazy! I'm glad injuries weren't worse. I can't imagine how scary that would be.
We fly out tomorrow. I promise to post pictures when we get back![]()
Buff what? Chantecler?
Good points! I will definitely be reading through the beginning of this thread before I attempt to make one.I can give an opinion. Now this is just MY opinion...lol. I watched this video when I was going to build mine.
1) The floor is going to be hard/impossible to clean. Too many eggs will cause it to sag.
I used baking racks that were wide enough to fit like a floor a couple of inches above the bottom of the cooler. I use a McCain cake pan as the water dish. High tech, I know...lol.
2) I'd suggest two lights instead of one. Or a splitter. Eventually the light will burn out. It's better as a fail safe to have two lights. I've had it happen a few times.
3) I use a manual thermometer, it's easier to calibrate (in my opinion) I think that kind is great for a back up thermometer if it's calibrated. I find they take up too much room.
4) I added a real fan (albeit tiny) because I didn't have a computer fan. The circulating air helps. Even with a fan the temp fluctuates in areas.
5) I skimmed but did they men mention the thermostat part of it. Having something simple and very effective like a wafer thermometer is worth it's weight in gold. I use strictly wafers in mine. It's cheaper and I can replace the parts.
I prefer styrofoam as well because it's easier to hack into. It's a personal choice. I choose parts based on easy installation, easy cleaning and continuous availability.
