Don't have any, and I'm officially on bedrest, and cannot go anywhere ATM to get some. I lost a big chunk of my mucus plug yesterday (TMI) and am contracting. I'm actually waiting for my OB to call me back to see what our plan is, because until 24 weeks, I'm not viable and they won't do any interventions that I know of, besides IV fluids and bedrest.

I just don't know if I have to go see her, or wait until the 2nd for my apt and just be on bedrest until my follow up apt

Not trying to be difficult about the chick, but my husband's not going to drive 45 minutes for a chick, to get a cheap bottle of nutridrench. He'd just roll his eyes and say "well, hatch a different one." lol that's about his level of caring over baby chicks.

Do you have any baby vitamins like that liquid vitamin to give babies after they've been real sick? I wonder what ingredients are in neutral transmission what could be used to give them instead.

I have this baby chick my daughter rescued as it was hatching yesterday. I put it half-hatched in the brooder with my other chick (who's still tiny.) and it hasn't been able to walk, since it hatched. It's legs and wings are fine, but it cannot hold up it's head. It will eat/drink if you hold it near the food dish. So it's got a strong will to live, it just acts like something is wrong with it's neck. It can move it's head, just not hold it up?

any suggestions? Or just leave it and see if it recovers?

I am guessing my suggestion is one you do not want to hear...


It could be a teaching moment as to "why we do not touch hatching eggs"... depending on her age..

( I know that sounds like something an old grouchy guy would say, I can't believe I sound that way)

I only have just over an acre. My geese are both boys and super sweet. Though Lollipop has a weird obsession with shoes that gets him worked up now and then...
They're great flock guardians too

I'm working hard to cover my expenses from the trip that were extra. Getting everything done around the Barnyard in preparation for winter. Trying to figure out who fits in what pen and getting breeding season done plus looking at the water and electric situation for water heaters. I am also trying to decide how many chickens to get rid of to bring me down to a manageable number what is that anyway? I think for me it's 20 Birds because I can get that in one big coop then I can use the others for breeding and grow out when it is not winter thus I only have to deal with one coop in the winter time. But it may still be two.
I am also beginning to look for a new job. I have another horse to start, but he is waiting and my karate is slow as I wait for my shoulder to finish healing. I am also helping my friend get her stuff ready for winter.
I am also planning on going to my first goat show next month. It is Strut the Rut a buck show in October so it ought to be stinky, but I hope to learn a lot and they are doing an AI Clinic to teach you how to do it on your own goats.
Your schedule sounds a lot like my sisters with her 3 kids it would make me want to pull my hair out.

I would try to give it some multivitamin solution (1 ml/liter of water)
With a dripping bottle

And some food, if it won't manage to get along after 3 day, I would give up on it.
