EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Some people are afraid of snakes.
Seriously, I was raised a city girl. I wasn't "right there in the barn" around cows enough. So, I still have a fear of them crushing me. As in their side crushing me against another cow or a wall.
If I ever do get mini cows, I will probably work my way up to a real cow quickly.

12 more on the list.. Epidemic Scale. Nobody is purchasing them and they are pillaging and plundering my free ladies. Bad situation.. Bad time to be a pullet.. RUN! RUN!
Neighbors just gave me 5 roosters kept one. Bad time to be a rooster.

Cows love to cuddle.....
I've had mostly nice roosters. I'm not afraid of roosters if I'm somewhere with a flock. Cautious though.
I would never trust a free rooster from someone at a swap meet.
I do realize that small children cuddle with their 4H cows. But they probably raised them from calves too.
So I suppose just the idea of an animal I'm not used to is scary in general. :lau A few years ago, my husband was gagging at the smell of a rotting deer. I was studying it from all angles because I had never been that close to a deer before.
Edited because I always forget to connect my example with my point. :hide

Calves are like chicks ... They love everyone... You have to wait until they are chickens or cows to see what their personality really is.

I could have added they are like girlfriends and you have to marry them to see what they are really like......
