I have a few people I visit that adore Jace and love to have her over. It's winter when I bring her along so she enjoys getting to walk around a warm house.

Was DH supportive?

Yes. He's not overly attached to his family - he's spent most of his life NOT being around/living with them. He will always prioritize us, first. I'm the reason my mother in law comes to visit. I work very hard to foster a relationship between her and her grandkids.

I feel having a connection to extended family is important. As a foster care kid who bounced around a lot - I feel knowing where you come from and having that connection is important.

My husband could care less. LOL
