Those were pc's totally connected to the web. My hub's pc stays off the web. No email no downloads no links. I am shocked he allowed me to go on BYC with it. The modem is never used. He allowed it to put BYC on the Trusted list only because they upgraded the software and the site is fresh. Just don't click on any ads or alternate site links he said. Only allowed to read and post in the forum. I am on my tablet right now anyways..
He engineered and built it for Movie and photography production. He lets me get on it to post photos he has altered for my photo thread. I am shocked he is relaxed that I am using it now. Back when he made it, I wasn't allowed to touch it.

I use to work in an office. All my peers would play around with their pc's on company time with personal emails are clicking on links sent and always spreading a new trojan viruses all the time. The management cracked down with a program that logged activity and my friends were warned but ignored the warnings and got fired one by one.
The web is the gateway to cyber hell. And unemployment.. lol

I don't know why he never got into the bizz. He just likes doing stuff until he gets bored and moves on.
He was doing we sites for folks as a sideline awhile back. He got boarded sitting in the chair all the time.

His is a special case. Those the use the web(99.99999% of people) need to keep their OS updated and patched. Ransomware was on of the more recent attacks than needed a patch

O boy...those walls do not look level.

They are. I used a level.

• Run Defrag.
• Run Scan Disk
• Clean Registry
• Click Start menu / all programs / accessories / system tools / disk clean up
• pour coffee on the key board (optional)

• Buy MAC
• Quit/retire from lucrative IT career.
• Don't worry about computer issues, because there aren't any.

The computer man is messing with it... He knows even more about computers than you two so I'll leave it to him.

I was just about to suggest a Mac too!
I'd never go back to a 'regular' computer.

No, I haven't checked. I should put it on the grocery list or it probably won't get done. I make a grocery list and stick to it, very focused, get in, get out.
