Price you pay for living in a gated community on the water. Not all of Florida is developed like that. We are Agriculture zoned. I could never live so close to someone that when you look out your side windows of your home, you can watch tv from the neighbor's house.
Greedy Developers squeeze houses together to maximize profits. In perfect conditions, fire could spread from house to house like domino effect wildfire.
Deed restrictions, Home Owner Association telling you to do and don't do. That ain't living in Florida, That's Heaven's waiting room. Awhile back Hub and I where in one of those communities talking with a lady and a rescue truck raced by. She said.. "another house for sale".. omg.
Don't blame you for leaving because of YOUR scenery.

We did not have deed restrictions and those things, but we had an overbearing city that was a pain to get along with...

The only good thing was the water and fishing. I went out in the gulf whenever I had a chance...BUT you can only have so many fish in your freezer..
