EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

That’s what I’m afraid of! Lockdown has me terrified! I’ve never heard of CAM issues though, what’s that?
Chorio-allantoic membrane. Didn't develop completely at the bottom (can be shipping, can be turning ) and they ran out if room.
Yes!

Killed three of them yesterday. It is the best way so fare.

It is a flexible pipe cutter:

Great. I was wondering, what's the largest bird you've processed with those? I have a massive Australorp to kill and I am doubtful as to whether that will fit over his neck.

It opens up quite a bit.
Head on over to home depot and take a look at it.

I think it is Beer can that uses them. He has big old naked necks I think too.

I got a bit close to the head on one and cut through the skull. They will work fine on the Australorp

Thanks. I don't know if they stock that brand up here but I'll check anyway.

Also... Did you need to close the tool with both hands? I'm wondering if I ought to try it on an already dead bird first to make sure I know how much strength is needed.

I used one hand and one quick squeeze. I get close to the skull and put blade at the back of the neck.

I was skeptical at first too but it has worked great each time I have used it.
