EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I don't know what to do! and I'm pretty sure she's gone on lockdown!
I associate the term lock down for incubators. As far as my knowledge allows me to have..
My 3 eggs were due to hatch October 3-8 and none of them have,
In recent past experience with broody hens, my temps in Fl. go up and down so much it effects the due dates when I hatch broody hen method. Some are from staggered dates and some are delayed from condition changes. A good candling in the dark would confirm what you have going on there..
:)

Another good reason to live WAY north of the Mason-Dixon line! I can't believe some one actually touched that ugly serpent!

Don't be such a chicken :duc

I am terrified. tarzan snags them. I hold the camera.. he holds the snake.. it's in my contract.. NO touching nasty snakes.

Hubby likes to catch them for the kids to check out. These are the typical ones we have around here

Oh look! That's back when we actually had grass by the coop! The birds took care of that for us

had one snap his neck in the ceiling fan in the barn. We plucked the poor little sucker. It was snowing feathers for at least a min long after the metal blade wacked it on super high setting..
Supper fell from the sky that day..
JUST IN CASE somebody thinks I am full of poop..
Photos just taken 10 minutes ago turning off lights and locking down the barn.. Only our total free roosters perch at the fan.. I told the ol man to just put the BBQ under the fan..
