I had 4 kids actually. In the early days, before I was conscience of such, skeeters flew off with my first 2 born.. Then I bought some skeeter netting on Amazon... I feel silly now but I saved on groceries.. Am I a monster?

I did too...I skinned the hogs and helped wrap...and we butchered dozens of birds every year...Dh and I too when we got married. Now I've gotten soft. It was hard to get going again with processing. I had not done it in 40 years. It came back quickly though. When I processed with another BYC member, She was surprised at how fast I was at plucking the feathers. It seems like your hands remember how to do things that you learned when young.

My Grandfather on my Dad's side was born in 1895. I heard a lot of odd phrases..many of them not to be repeated in public!

The bearded d’uccle babies now 3.5 weeks old. 3 lavender splits, 2 silver Milles, and 1 Mille Fleur. Super cute!!!
