Morning all from the land of winter!!

I no longer have time to prepare for winter the proper way. I will be using the bobcat with the farm forks on it and picking up all the crap I need to move and move it....

I will sort through it next spring and pick out the stuff I didn't break with the bobcat.
mornin!
WEllllllll where are the ribbons you done git?

Good morning I’m awake barely. Kept thinking it was Saturday for some reason.
No snow here, rain at end of week possibly with a 20 + degree temp swing.
Lots of things to do with the chickens no time to do it.
Peter! well hello there!

my marans = marans
f2 OliveEggers from the blue hens = dark OE
Blue egg = OE
White and Tan eggs = pinkish eggs????????

Eggs are generally at their darkest in the fall and winter when hens lay fewer eggs. In late spring and summer, they are laying more heavily and more of their “paint” is used up. Older hens will also create less pigment; yet, their genetic material remains unchanged, and they can pass the genetics for the brown pigment they had in their youth onto their daughters (if the cock’s genetics support this as well.)

You have goats?
No, no goats anymore. Did I forget to mention that my son & daughter have entered their second childhood & decided to move back home? :D (God perish the thought!. Not sure I could handle that)
