EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I managed to talk hubby in to getting a barn cat but he wants to wait until at least next spring and get a kitten so it grows up here. He was shockingly very open to it since he's not a big animal person and is usualy very against getting more animals. Our house cat HATES other cats (thinks he's a dog) so this will be strictly an outdoor mouser. His home base will be the garage.

I am wondering if I can raise two kittens in the coop right with the chickens?

If you treat the cats, then sprinkle table salt around the house on the floors and furniture and stuff let it sit overnight and vacuum it up. I did that once when I moved into a place that had fleas on the advice of an older lady. Never had trouble again.
I have never been able to get rid of fleas.. on my chihuahuas. They are horrible. Diatamtious earth, and Advantage etc. nothing stops them.

I like them for in the sheds, along with the death bait (where none of my critters are, with the feed and hay) traps are set in the coops, its required for NPIP although I dont participate right now, we still have them in coops. The little closed type traps
Do you mean the little metal traps like you see in a business with the hole where they can go in? What do you put in them? I have one I have just never used it.

I have one. The black Tom Cat brands snap traps definitely work better but I use a bit of fermented feed inside to lure them in. I've only caught a few youing ones in it.
