I looked online last night, and the store had chicks in stock. I CALLED three hours before arriving. "We have Amberlinks and some other kind." Raise your hand if you would even think to have some chicks held back this late in the year (I'm amazed that they are keeping them in stock! Who wants chicks at this time of year?!). Now raise your hand if you would say, "yeah! I want twenty of the other kind of chick you can't identify!"
So I'm the idiot because I didn't ask if they would hold chicks for me.
Poor child didn't get to push the chicks in her cart.

I forgot to tell you guys! I went to get one of those Husky flexible tube cutters. The associate was not taking my purpose very well. He called over a woman. I'm forbidden to kill my roosters now. She is finding them a home right away.
