So it is just roundworms and not the flat worms? I think as I read this I remember someone (maybe the USDA vet) telling me this and advising to use something else because it is limited to roundworms....BUT I could be hallucinating too.
Probably a good idea. I was reading the label information. My vet gave me another wormer, can't remember which one now but before I got to the second dose, I found lice on a couple birds and he recommended switching to the ivermectin to take car of the lice and suffice as the second wormer dose.

That makes sense. I use the ivermectin to keep lice an mites down. Maybe it killing roundworms helps my worm population more than the sand dunes I live on...Hmmmm

Any idea (meaning I am too lazy to look it up) if the majority of worms in chickens are roundworms.

Well, they sure aren't square worms

I think square worms are limited to the area adjacent to areas of land near Sea Ice packs... There is some speculation some elders when taking the final ride on that ice floe use the square worms to slice their wrists instead of waiting for the cold to take them....Speaking of...Haven't you missed you Ice floe???

No! Going by cold is honourable. Going by square worm is not.

:smack I am not due for my ice floe for another 20 years. You, on the other hand---well overdue.

According to Gail Dammerow, roundworms are the most significant internal parasite in chickens.

I haven't read up on worm ID other than enough to know they weren't tapes but I'm fairly sure I've only seen roundworms.
