Your feed store sells live chicks?Lucky. A new feed store moved in here a few years back and the chicken market has been completely shot since then. I used to be able to sell my birds in hours.

I don't know one way or the other. I took the warning on a cautionary note when I bought antibacterial ointment. We're all adults and it doesn't matter either way. I'd rather know if I've got pain in case something's going wrong...so not having lidocaine is probably preferred anyway.OPINIONS NEEDED!
Hey guys, I keep seeing people say -cain drugs, like those found in topical antibiotic cream are very toxic to chickens and not to use them. But then I found this. Which makes me think that maybe that's just a well perpetrated myth. What do you guys think?
I just did that! Am still doing that actually! Meh...new pets.I wouldn't go to great lengths to save an injured bird that was on the soup list. They'd just have their life cut a tad shorter by whatever came through. Other than that, of course I'm going to try... "any bird I care about enough" covers probably 90% plus of my flock right now.
I've even tried to doctor up an aggressive rooster with terminal injuries before I wondered why I was spending $$ on a doomed meanie.
