I hope your kidding has started well.
My does have come through well, and other than having to pull a gigantic buckling and loosing a hoped for doe from my really great older doe it has been ok.
I am hopeful for some does though since I have had a ton of bucklings.
My next couple are known for multiples though so I am watching carefully for ketosis.

I hope you get dome does.

Mine haven't started yet, 3/24, 4/2, 4/15, and 4/16 are the around due dates.

He's doing well. Gained 3lbs his first month of life!

My great pyr is on the left. Her BF is on the right LOL
If it was successful, I suspect a mother day present from her ;)

he's a huge hit with my girls... the boys are slightly more indifferent LOL

I finally got my husband to let me remodel the kitchen, so that's been a work in progress. I'm just over 6 weeks out, but I got a hernia at the end of my pregnancy, and basically have to wear a belly band until I'm done having children and can get surgery to fix it.

(okay, done picture spamming now!)

My husband will, I have too many kids to wrangle to feel comfortable having a loaded gun on me. I'm too easily distracted right now lol

Lovely photos!

It's just a horrible situation. Doesn't sound like there is any chance to get them to pay for the chickens the dogs killed so far.

Ridiculous. What about dog license or rabbit shots not done?

Oh, they offered to replace the chickens at "3" dollars per bird I can prove they killed. Issue is, most of the birds they took, I can prove about 7, but think 20.... they didn't kill baby chicks, they took my 2ish year old layers........ the ones whos' production was at the max and that I'd invested the most time into!

20 dollars for each bird, is basically what I estimated I spent raising them to laying age, not to mention fixing fences, the start up costs, + coops.

They can't replace the damage these dogs caused, just in emotional stress alone. They got the chicken my daughter did 4H with, too that won her a blue ribbon.

Three dollars a bird, isn't even close, and there certainly isn't anyway to make up for the emotional stress.

I agree. But I doubt since they don't want to pay the 100 dollars to get their dogs fixed, that they'd want to pay a couple hundred for my birds.

I looked at Meyer hatchery and started pullets are in the $13 range depending on breed.

Yeah, but they raise birds in ways that aren't handled/tamed the same way, and can buy feed in bulk.
I pay 17 a bag.

Who CARES what they want? It was their property that killed your property, ON your property.Small Claims Court

Does anyone use peroxide for sterilizing hatching eggs? I've been hearing about this.

Also does anyone use the rcom eco suro with the cradle ? Are the egg racks it comes with okay to use ?
