EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Just saw this morning that your fires are the worst in CA history.
Yeah, I had a broody; the same one every year for the last 3. Hatched 2; left the rest to take care of themselves...no more hatched.
Rains have finally stopped, for now. Last few days have been scorchers. Typical August in MD

Glad the rains have slowed down. Yes fires are bad this year. Brothers house was close to the biggest fire so far. Fortunately it headed away. He’s not been there for couple weeks due to smoke.
I think I’ve finally cured the broody that was trying to start here.
Haven’t worked on new coop in a week or so. May have located the siding for free so it’s taking awhile to finish.

Free is always good

I’ve never had so much trouble with a tent! :barnie it’s a shame I can’t keep it up.

We enjoyed it while we drink our water, and cooled off. Duckling had her hotdogs and marshmallows in there when it was time to eat.
I was impressed that the dog had enough sense to go in for shade while Duckling and I played.

:lau Steven, AJ, and the three girls got into the screen tent (under the sides the wind blew loose) while we had supper. They were very bold about taking food, and asking for demanding more!
Steven showed us that he can easily reach a plate on the table, and no one was afraid to clean our plates. It was very funny.
The ducks never showed up, but the four SPR boys came around once the food was gone.
