EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Thanks , but I never dreams about my students, the reality is more than enough!
Aa, we got our matriculation exam avarage last year, and my school got more then 87% of the students passed them successfully while the average in ouer district was 63%! So every teacher got almost 900$ bonus (befor taxes! ) in the last month salary, so it was a nice surprise!
Of course it was before taxes......:he

You might be surprised. Plants seem to be able to make up for short days as long as they have the right temp and water. I grew up in Port Huron, Michigan ( north of Detroit ) so I know what you mean by cold dark winters
My wife is from Port Huron..... I'm from Farmington hills originally.
Lived in Port Huron for a while in 1982.... At 10th and Wells ..... Live in the U.P. now.... For the last 36 years.

If I'd grown up in MI, I'm afraid I'd have had to move to TX, too.

Well I'm not a big fan of Port Huron ..... No offense to my Texas freind but where I live in the U.P. is so much nicer than anywhere in Southern Michigan. Too many people..... Even where my kids live in the Northern part of Lower Michigan...... There just too many people. I like to walk out at night and hear nothing.... But maybe some coyotes or wolves..... But no ambulances r sirens or cars ....

My roof leaked when I moved in here..... Right after my bone marrow transplant.
Me and my brother built a new more steep pitched roof on top of the old one..... It's built with 2x6" on 16" centers....... Used 2x4's for oerlings...... And metal roofing instead of shingles.
Snow slides right off in the winter..... And I'm pretty sure the roof will still be standing long after the rest of the house collapsed......
:thumbsup That’s what I like to hear. If your going to fix something might as well make it BETTER than new that way someone else will be able to injoy it after we’re gone :old Not that I plan on going any where soon:celebrate.:wee

I know what you mean about the people & the quiet; can't put a price on them, 'specially on a clear night with fireflies all over & the stars so bright it feels like you could almost grab one.

Completely agree!! That’s why I left cold Michigan and moved to warm Texas “out in the sticks” Neighbors may have freeranging flocks, but we are far enough apart they will never mix.
