Maybe the vegetative period of the lifecycle, but the reproductive stage AKA flowers and fruit is almost totally depends on the photodiode, so you can have the plant but not the fruits. You might be surprised. Plants seem to be able to make up for short days as long as they have the right temp and water. I grew up in Port Huron, Michigan ( north of Detroit ) so I know what you mean by cold dark winters
???? So Michigan goes from having very short winter days to very long summer days. I wonder if they would fruit at a different time of the year or not at all? Tropical plants seem to do well on costal areas, very far north, as long as there are warm ocean currents in the area, to protect them from frost.????Maybe the vegetative period of the lifecycle, but the reproductive stage AKA flowers and fruit is almost totally depends on the photodiode, so you can have the plant but not the fruits.
Almost all the plants are divided to 2 groups , it is very difficult for me to explain in English, about phetochtom, long and short day plants , so better read this???? Exactly, or learn Hebrew and join to one of my classesThank-you, Sir.
Fascinating article. I now must do much more reading on this subject.
You still on the road? My son used to be an otr driver, but now he pretty much runs Racine to Chicago every night, with a run to IN sometimes. I couldn't do it...not to Chicago...no way in the world. If I ever drove truck I'd want to be otr, but that's no life for a family man.Completely agree!! That’s why I left cold Michigan and moved to warm Texas “out in the sticks” Neighbors may have freeranging flocks, but we are far enough apart they will never mix.
Now that would be a lot of fun!Exactly, or learn Hebrew and join to one of my classes![]()
