EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Nice. The most quail I've done is 80.
We went from 50 to ground covered in snow overnight. I need for the ground to freeze so I can get the tractor out and clean the goat barn. It's been so muddy I haven't wanted to rut things up with the tractor.
At least you have a tractor to use. I have to do it the old-fashioned way with a wheelbarrow.

I hear that. The warm up and wind was a welcome sight for us to help dry us out. We have been so muddy all fall. Fighting the mid is very tiring and we are trying not to rut up too much but that is virtually impossible for us. I tend to run the same ruts over and over until I can’t anymore. We bought a new ditch witch stand up skid loader with tracks (Dingo) this summer. Weighs a hell of a lot less than our big skid loader and is small, perfect for cleaning buildings and light work.
Oooh, I want one ;)
I am going to be fixing up a milk room this coming year. That's what I am going to try to afford to help make things easier. Hopefully I can get water to it.

Because yesterday was supposed to be so nice, I wasn’t expecting the ice. I went out with my coffee to take a picture of the sun rise, and think about what I could build. I really want to get a prefab coop fixed up for new chicks to be in after a few weeks, complete with a heat lamp.
I went down, and had to wiggle to the grass to get back up. So much for getting work done! I am a mess!
Be careful! You don't want to break anything else. I can sympathize I was supposed to finish the extension on my barn getting the roof on this weekend, but now they're calling for a 50% chance of snow and ice yuck.

Good morning!

He is a nice looking dog. How is he doing at his job?
He’s actually doing great at ... something. The one dog the neighbors were letting roam is now all four. They are all over my property. :rant Maaco is properly socialized, but they aren’t. One look at Maaco, and the other dogs go back to their own place! It’s funny to see the two big dogs run in terror from a medium size dog.
Maaco is a good bed buddy as long as I position his pillow right.
And he fits perfectly right on Duckling’s lap! :lau I don’t know why, but he really does think it’s appropriate to sit on her. Of course, when he lays down, he’s next to her, with his head in her lap.
