Any more meat for the freezer?

No, not yet. Haven't been putting a lot of time into hunting since I got the buck. We don't need the meat, but I'd like to get another, smaller one to grind up for sausage & jerky.

We made some of each with the buck. The summer sausage turned out great, but the jerky, despite our following the directions on the box, is so greasy your hands look like you washed them in Pennzoil. We'll cut the fat by half next time.

Sounds like more what I remember of bear jerky greasy and strong.

I've never tasted bear, but I understand it's pretty strong.

I have never had goat at all. So I have no idea even though I raise goats maybe someday I'll eat goat. I do like lamb though.
