I'm just glad that though I remember going to school in 35 below zero weather a lot those thankfully I don't remember it well. I do remember snowball fights at the bus stop where half the purpose was just to stay warm.
 
People around here will say aren't you ready for winter, and my comment is I did my share growing up thank you very much. I don't like the hot summers around here but the longer Falls are nice.

Sell the eggs, hatchlings and yes they get ate. Quail is very good. I always love hunting them little guys. I just need to replenish my birds right now. Kind of like my chickens, I’ve slacked in this department the last couple of years

sounds good, yeah I have to actually be specific to hatch out some Heritage Rhode Island Reds this year, I've been getting mixes but not very many red cuz like you I just had chickens. Too bad you're not as close as I am to the Oklahoma state line it's only a couple miles from my house quite literally
