I can't remember the link right now, but there was a study that showed increased CO2 concentrations for the first ten days of incubation encouraged I think it was better muscle development in hatched chicks.

Increasing C02 is not the same as reducing 02 (though they often do occur together).
Random C02 fact - on the space station they did not restrict 02 in the air, but because it is so “resourse expensive” to remove, C02 the levels have been run at slightly higher levels than we would have on earth. This has apparently resulted in reduced cognitive performance, at least when on the space station.

That sucks. We had this one doe we really liked. She had the size from her dad and good growth rate and was all around a fabulous doe, she was bred and had just started to develop an udder when a pack of neighborhood dogs got in and killed her.

That is horrible.

If a wandering dog kills a chicken it gets locked up by animal control (if not shot first). What happens if a neighborhood cat kills chickens or chicks? Does animal control have any jurisdiction on dealing with it?
