EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

That's hot, we're topping out at mid 70s
Last week for us was in the 80’s Beautiful weather. After the two days of hotter it’s supposed to cool to mid 90’s
All the birds have been struggling with 80’s so we’ll see. Next on list get incubator started. I think I have all the honey do’s done and plenty of eggs for it.

In this situations I leave in the run 3-4 flat large aluminium bowls, they love to cool theirs shanks in them. and I give them plenty of electrolytes.

I do something similar by letting the water overflow in their pens. Haven’t lost very many birds here due to heat but this is a new breed to me.

Mine must have lost their marbles. It’s 100 out now and they are running around like it’s 70. They do have plenty of shade.
Thermometer on wall needs calibrated. 8 degrees off.
