EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I was about to leave for a trip so I candled my eggs in the incubator and they were all 1/2 black 1/2 clear and I was so upset because I thought I'd killed them all. The temp on my little incubator will stay consistent but the humidity always goes too high or way too low. I had it perfect when I left work, came back in AM and it was at 35 so I freaked out, added more water and in an hour or so it was just a tad bit high. I left for my trip, was still super stressed out, couldn't stand it and went back to work to check them with different flashlight. So glad I did. they were moving about and I have the spiderwebs etc. they are 14 days on friday, but I was supposed to be out of state. Of course, I get to our meet up spot to spend the night and I have a dog come down with an ugly sounding cough so I had to withdraw from invitation only event in CO. Super bummed out. but was super happy my chicks are doing well in their shells.

I have some nice silkies. I'll get some pictures in a bit. I don't think the pictures on my website show the good ones yet. I can seperate them to get some pure eggs for you if you want @Sally Sunshine.

Glad they are alive and well, how do your air cells look?
