EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I never thought I’d see a 5-y-o sitting on my kitchen floor, picking out babies for the day.

I made the bassinet for two duck eggs... a year ago I think. She found it yesterday, and has been using it since. Why do I buy toys? :confused:
Yep.. and.. adorable. Our little 9 month old grandson had toys out the other day. Found the empty diaper box, played with it for a good 15 min.

not sure why I can see image it says its an image and thats all odd
Here you go Sally. She's using this as her bed for her...babies.

I am finding that quite a few people havent even used them!! they are sitting for display in bathrooms!!! ughhh not gonna sell any more that way, Wish they would try them and see how good they feel and smell. Maybe I need to simplify, although I already have alot just because of time, barely do I make embeds anymore. Those I know people are sitting around!! thanks for bday wishes
I am using them. Two for now, and like I said, one given to our son. I love how it rinses off..no rinsing and rinsing. Love the clean smells. I usually only see these at fairs. They usually smell..old. :(. Does that make sense?

Considering the competition for soaps on Etsy, getting a first sale within a week is mighty impressive! Congratulations, @Sally Sunshine !

Day 18 candle pics here. I worry that my air cells are still quite small, but I've been running the bator completely dry, and it's ranged between 25% (never got below that) and 33%, and usually it's been in the upper 20s. Should I raise it today or tomorrow for lockdown? Also, I have funky air cell that slipped down the side of the egg. They had all been completely stable till today, since they weren't shipped. Any ideas why it did that, and is it a bad thing?

probably was a loose air cell and you didnt know it, when it started loosing more weight it pulled it should be ok, your gonna have to lock them down, my ices and I think Mikes too always hatched day 19-20. They dont look bad, lock um down, I would stay around 72 humidity. let the bator go, only filling as needed to keep humidity up. Good Luck with the hatch! post as you go!

@Uff Da
where your pips always happen unless malpositioned, left of lowest dip in air cell and down a tad :) I always put an X there to see how close I get and always that side up when I lay to hatch. So I can watch! View attachment 1870470
Oh! I'll do that before I go to bed! It will be fun to see how close they get, lol. I had several malpositions with my last hatch, before I had researched incubating shipped eggs. My only other hatch was Icelandics, too, and they hatched on day 21, BUT the incubator has run a bit warmer this time around because of increased ambient temps, so I am expecting them to make an earlier appearance. Speaking of which, I've seen some mentions here and there that 100 or 100.5 is actually better than the oft-quoted 99.5. Does anyone have any opinions or insight into this?
