this is Edward Scissorbeak (he has a minor Scissorbeak) He? She? Is 7 months old no crowing no egg yet but I can’t seem to tell if it’s a roo or hen. His wattles and comb are small but have been *reddish* (as red as they can be with his black skin) for awhile now. Any ideas?

From what I can tell, the comb isn't that large. It would help to have a clear photo of it, which means moving the crest feathers out of the way. I'm going to say female for now based on the lack of a crow plus the comb. But it is often iffy with Silkies.

I’m going to try and get a good picture today. I go back and forth with whether it’s a hen or roo. They really are the worst when it comes to trying to figure it out.

I'm guessing cockerel, because of his hackle and saddle feathers. And I'm not great at figuring out Silkies, it's a best guess.
Is his beak getting worse over time? Usually it does get worse, and he (or she) shouldn't have any offspring because of this defect.
Cute though...

I was figuring roo as well but I’m not great at figuring it out either haha his beak is getting worse over time unfortunately. He’s still able to live life as a normal chicken so far but I keep an eye on him. He’s not going to be one of my breeders just a pretty boy to cuddle ☺️
