EE 8.5 weeks worried she is a he

I heard somewhere that a 3 row comb with EE means boy. Just looked at my EE and am not sure if those are 3 rows. Any insight is appreciated. She is my girls favorite so that would be a bummer.

May I ask what makes you think it’s a girl, I had people telling me it’s a boy because of the red comb and „brown leakage „ on the shoulder whatever that means since EE are mutts. It’s my girls favorite so if it’s a boy I don’t wähnt them to get any more attached because we are not allowed to keep Roos.

Very pretty Pullet, there's not saddle/hackle feathering (thin, flowing feathers).
Saddle = base of the tail
Hackle = neck

I was under the impression that cockerels don't get the hackle and saddle feathers until a little older than this? This chick is only 8 weeks old.

agree I thought they don't get gender feathering till 12 weeks of age or more

At 9 weeks old that sure is a red comb

Looking pulletish so far. Small comb regardless of the of redness. Overall appearance seems to be a pullet. You can post pics in 3-4 weeks to see any changes.
