The feed store had a bunch of EE in the Fry Pan Special Pen today. I've never heard of EE as a meat breed. I almost bought them and the Barred Rock females out of that pen because they were cheaper then the same breeds in another pen called straight run Barred Rock and Americana (but I knew they were really EE) but then I saw some sick chicks so I didn't bring anything home as I didn't want to make my flock sick. So I guess I am asking how good is an EE as a meat bird? Would it be worth raising some up to butcher?
