EE chick colors

Well, I think Hazel is very pretty. I think one of my barnyard mutts that I got 3 weeks ago might have some ee in her just from looking at your chicks. Cool. I have been trying to figure out what kind of heinz 57 she is... LOL But she is definetly a mutt.

Oh, and sorry for the OT, I just find chicken genetics fascinating!

For the OP, I ordered 4 EEs and told the breeder that I'd be thrilled if I got 4 different colors. You happen to have 4 that look a whole lot like mine did.

My darker chipmunk:

My "typical brown and blue":

I have one that was solid yellow also but I don't know that you want to see just how pretty HE has turned out... (he's in the background with brown/blue)

My 3 pullets now at 10 weeks

2 looked like this...

and one all chocolate brown...

I had a yellow with the black spot on its head, now it is solid white, several that started out looking like they were going to be alike ended up with different adult plumage. I can tell each one apart. I had 3 that looked like snowy owls chicks only 1 kept the white and black plumage the other 2 turned darker and look like hawks.

Ok! After reading this thread I wanted to post a couple pics of my own EE chicks! Or maybe their Amerecauna.... most likely not... I personally like the EE's better because of their wide variety in patterns and color!! Ok here are my 3 new chicks... 2 are EE's and the other one is Barred Rock. Just look at the EE's! Haha thanks guys! Just sort of wondering what they'll turn out to be looking like! Oh and I was told their pullets but hopefully they'll turn out that way!

1 week
