EE chick... girl or boy?? (updated pic: 4 weeks old!)

I will faint of happiness if she's a girl!

I took contingencies though and chose a non-gender specific name

So... anybody else vote GIRL??

I just went out to look again and her legs and feet are the same size and shape as my EE cross who is definitely a girl.

The 3 other chicks (boys) have bigger legs...

So I'm guessing it's just the pics that make her legs look big.

I'm keeping positive! It's a girl!

I had the same issue with my one EE hen. I swore she was a roo until just a few days before she laid. After she laid her first egg, my adult son said, "So Mom, I guess your "rooster" just laid an egg, huh?"

I'm pretty good at sexing EE's and I'm going to tell you that IMHO, there's no way to know yet.
Here's why:
Stance says boy but Brahma's have an upright stance, so that's a wash.
The feathering coloring this early means nothing. I had 3 chipmunks just like that and ended up with 2 roo's. My two darker were both roo's as well.

Good luck!! Not saying it's a roo, just that I wouldn't open the champagne quite yet.

We are trying to tell our EE's apart too. They are 11 days old. Most have a lot of feathering. We were supposed to have all pullets and one boy. The one I think is a boy has not feathered out much. Almost alll have feathers on their wings, tail feathers, and the beginning of feathers on their shoulders. He(or maybe she) has some wing feathers, but no tail feathers, and no feathers on the shoulder. Do you think we spotted the boy?

Got some big honkin' legs for a girl. Would we call those cankles? Hmm. I think you just better give it until about 10-12 weeks of age before you get all fired up and certain. Those stinking EEs can be tough to get right until you see the pointy feathers sprouting out on them.
I hope it is a girl though, it has pretty eyes!
