EE chick with bump at end of beak...normal? (picture)

Hi all,

Just got 3 EE chicks yesterday. Noticed this one has a bump on the end of his beak. What do you think?

It's an egg tooth, and the way they break out of the egg

That is it's egg tooth. It will fall off in a few days.

How long after birth do they have these? I was told my chicks (I have 3 of them) are a week old but they looked hours old to me when I got them!

I've had some chicks take a bit longer than others, the longest was about 4 days.

totally normal, it's an egg tooth, eventually falls off... it can take around 3 days...
