EE Chicks First Day Free-Ranging (w/Pics!)

Our hen (Churkey), recently hatched 3 EE chicks from bugladyleah...

This past weekend, they had their first experience out of the brooder to free range while I built them a transitional coop until they are old enough to use the main coop.

Here is Momma standing guard as chicks get some tasty bugs under a bush:

Of course, and as I posted on another thread, I did finish the coop. Here it is sitting beside our "Churkey Loft", that I built this past winter.

From the many posts I've read it certainly seems more difficult to tell the sex of EE chicks. How old do they have to be before you can start looking for telltale signs?

Anybody with EEs know?
