EE chicks Is it true you can tell gender by tail feather length?

out of 12 10 have long tail feathers coming in and 2 have short ones still I read that with EE chicks the boys take longer to get their tail feathers.
 
The tail feather length isn't an indication of male or female. I wish it was but alas, no.

Your chick is too young to accurately sex. It is feathering in with pullet colors but its got some pretty thick legs and a "no-nonsense" expression lol

Some of these chicks are very difficult to sex. I have a 2.5 month old EE with a HUGE pea comb, otherwise girlie features and will duke it out with her hatch-brothers (and usually win). Since I'm not willing to give away a possible pullet near POL I'm sticking to my policy of "you crow, you go" LOL
