EE chicks when young?

Here's a picture of some of ours when they were babies. The darkest one in the front that looks like he is talking to the class

turned out to be a boy.

With the EE's: Legs can be ANY color, from pink to green. They can also START pink until 3-4 weeks old and then turn green. EE's are hard for the reason they are mixed breed, but I was told lighter colors can be a sign of cockerel, and it turned out that way for me.

You made a good choice of breeds though! I love my EE and Barred Rocks will always be in my flock
