Okay, from what I have gathered:
A small, close to the skull pea-comb means the hen will lay blue or green eggs
A single comb means the hen will lay brown eggs
A taller, larger pea-comb means pinkish-brown eggs
?
Can anyone provide more information or pictures of combs and corresponding egg colors? I have two young EE's and one barely has a comb at all at this point (4 weeks old) and one has a visible "bump" developing but it isn't huge yet and not pink/red at all.
I'm hoping they both lay blue/green eggs
but someone else's post has made me wonder if the one with a developing comb might be in the pink/brown category...
Any thoughts?
