EE cross pullets? **More pics added

EEs are crosses, but not all crosses are EEs...

Kinda like, a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle is not a square...

hehe

These do look like they have some Ameraucana back in their lineage somewhere, but they look like they are crossed and crossed and crossed again. Still very cute little birdies, and they do look to be pullets. Have fun!

Exactly. EE's are just mutts that have Ameraucana/Araucana somewhere in their bloodline.

Yep! But if it was a EE x Blue Sumatra it may have black feet too. And I also see what look like saddle feathers on the rust colored one.

So ehat you saying:
Actually, EE's can have any color legs. They are mutts. I had an EE with black feet.

I'll have you to know that my Easter Eggers are not mutts.

Yes, they are. If they are EE's, then they are mutts. EE's from a breeder, like me, are still mutts. EE's from a hatchery are still mutts. They have no breed standard, can look like anything/lay any color egg/etc. They are a bird that has a blue egglaying ancestor, either the Ameraucana or Araucana. Just because you breed a blue egglaying mutt to another doesn't mean the birds are suddenly "pure".

Saying that isn't a bad thing. I love my EE's as much as my AM's and that doesn't make them any less of a bird, it just means they are not a "breed" but more of a coined term for a mutt with a blue egger ancestor.

Now that you say this, I do believe I spy what you're talking about. Good call.

ETA: And...on third look, the rusty bird does have rather pointy hackle feathers, too...not that some of my girlies don't...just sayin'
