Hi,

We bought our Easter Egger chicks from MT Healthy. They are now about 8 weeks old and doing great. I love all the different colors. Each of our chicks are a different color and pattern.

For those of you that bought EE's from them, what egg colors did you get? Were most blue, green or some of all?

We just got 4 EE's from them last Thursday! I can't wait to see how they turn out! Right now they're the light yellow with the chipmunk stripes..

I bought 2 EE chicks about a month ago. They are awesome! One is the very common wheaten color, and the other is white with cream markings! The white one started out very skittish, but is now the calmest of my 5! I love my EEs!

I bought 6 from our local farm store years ago and they were all from Mt. Healthy. One laid a pink/brown egg, the other 5 laid a variety of green eggs - olive, blueish, light green, etc. They were very pretty birds and were very pretty eggs. One of my friends also has 3 EEs from Mt Healthy and they all lay green/blue eggs.

It is so fun seeing what colors they become.

It's common for hatchery EE's to lay green or brown/pinkish eggs rather than blue, but they are super friendly chickens, and my 3 are all lap cuddlers which helps make up for the lack of blue eggs. No matter what color the eggs, they are fun with good personalities, though they do slow down laying eggs in the cold of winter esp. if you have snow. (or at least that's what mine did.)

I can vouch for not laying during winter and I live in Texas! we had a harsher winter than usual but my EE seem to be temperamental...not as good layers as the rest of the flock but they do lay light green eggs
