I have two EE/Game cross chicks (8.5 weeks old). My white EE hen (I think half white leg horn and half EE) had gotten out of her pen and had been hanging on the yard with a game flock for a month before I got her. Right when I brought her home I had a hen go broody so I plopped her first two eggs under that broody. She lays a huge beautiful blue egg every day. I need another rooster like I need a hole in the head, and I was crossing my fingers it would be a hen but it is not, I have a gorgeous little rooster on my hands. He has already paired up with his sister, who looks more like her mom. The mom is solid white, the little girl is getting some color now. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to keep the pair, breed them, and see what happens. Or if I should just try to sell this cute guy. I'm definitely keeping the girl though.
Anyone had an EE/Game mix? Can I expect this little roo to end up as testosterone filled and ill tempered as a game rooster?
